ICT & BIU Division (IBD)

Mauri and Welcome to ICT and BIU Division official page.

ICT and BIU is one of the Ministry’s division that deals with two major task:

1. Cargo and Copra Monitoring (BIU)
The special unit call Business Information Unit (BIU) deals with Grain Suppliers for importing of Grain from Overseas and keep updates with issues that might face by the supplier for their shipment delays.
BIU also deal with the Island councils for their updates on the Grain status which monitor carefully by recording this to their database and update the website analysis report for the Grain Status.
Also deal with Internal shipping agency for alerting them that they should arrange their voyage for islands that expected the least to face a shortage.
Deal with the Copra Coordinator at Outer Island to submit their copra stock for arranging a collection.

2. MTCIC System Monitoring (ICT)
The ICT monitor and task for the Ministry’s

• Servers administrator
• Backup data
• Websites management
• Email management
• WLAN and LAN Network Infrastructure
• Authorising and recommendation for purchasing ICT Equipment
• Attendance monitoring machine
